USB Power Rapid Charging Unit Intended Primarily for Cellular Phones, Tablets & Other USB Devices

Aqua Power is pleased to announce the development of the Company’s newest product, currently named the Super Power Bank FCH-1. Aqua Power is showcasing the prototype of this newly designed USB power rapid charging unit for the first time at CES. It is activated by salty water or seawater at concentration of 6-10%. Non-certified testing in our lab suggests it could provide up to 400 hours of illumination or 20 charges of a mobile phone. The first 3,000 units of the Aqupa Dome Lantern have been manufactured and will be available for sale shortly in Japan and internationally. The Aqupa Dome Lantern with a USB Charging port is the latest product developed by Aqua Power to provide emergency light and full charging capability for smartphones, tablets, and other USB devices (including iPhones and iPads). The Aqupa Dome Lantern can produce approximately 160 hours of continuous light from four (4) high-intensity LEDs producing 7,600 lux of light. Aqua Power Highlights Distribution Channels and Strategies

(APSI) (the “Company”), operating through its wholly owned subsidiary Aqua Power System Japan Kabushiki Kaisha (“AP Japan”), is pleased to highlight current and near-term product distribution channels for its RMAF magnesium-air battery and fuel cell products.

Aqua Power has established a scalable organization with a comprehensive network of large well-resourced international partners for manufacturing, logistics, and distribution.  All Aqua Power products are manufactured in China with distribution currently focused on Japan and Asian markets.  The Company has been revenue generating since 2009.

Aqua Power’s NoPoPo water activated batteries (over 8 million sold) are distributed throughout Japan and Asia through its network of wholesalers and retailers, which include chain stores such as Tokyu Hands.  Since July 2014, the Aqua Power lantern lighting products have been distributed in Japan on a non-exclusive basis through Yamazen Corporation, a product development and distribution partner, which gave Aqua Power access to more than 100,000 stores throughout Japan.

In preparation for international distribution, Aqua Power has completed and received approval of its general Material Safety Data Sheet (MSDS) disclosure covering RMAF magnesium battery and fuel cell products.  The MSDS is intended to provide workers and emergency personnel with procedures for handling or working with substances found in RMAF products in a safe manner, and includes information such as physical data (melting point, boiling point, flash point, etc.), toxicity, health effects, first aid, reactivity, storage, disposal, protective equipment, and spill-handling procedures.

Aqua Power Discusses Strength of Intellectual Property Portfolio

A fuel cell is a device that converts the chemical energy from a fuel into electricity by way of a chemical reaction with oxygen or another oxidizing agent.  Fuel cells are different from batteries in that they require a constant source of fuel and oxygen/air to sustain the chemical reaction. However, fuel cells can continue to produce electricity as long as these inputs are supplied.  Every fuel cellrequires an electrolyte, generating electricity by a chemical reaction (as opposed to combustion). The electrolyte carries electrically charged particles from one electrode to the other.

The RMAF system generates electricity by combining magnesium, a saltwater electrolyte, and air (oxygen), using patented technologies developed by Aqua Power.  RMAF applications can be refueled – virtually without limit — with Aqua Power’s proprietary lightweight magnesium rods that fuel the power producing ion exchange and electrical reaction.

The RMAF system inhibits hydrogen buildup through a series of events occurring concurrently.  Hydrogen inhibition starts with the application of an internal flow-back duct that returns the hydrogen to the water inside the cell.  In addition to this, to prevent the hydrogen that builds up from escaping outside the chamber, a small percentage of calcium is introduced into the magnesium bar.

A key element that enables RMAF’s remarkable technical performance is a unique wire-free structure (patent and patents-pending protected).  This structure along with the introduction of the small percentage of calcium to the magnesium bar allows for the removal of hydrogen from the system, which in turn eliminates hydrogen build-up and enables easy expansion to create larger units for greater power generation.  Other RMAF innovations made by APSI include proprietary anode and cathode configurations for each product and internal design.

Another item of unique Intellectual property is the ability to keep the magnesium sediment (magnesium oxide) flat so it does not impact on the power generated.  If this did not occur then the sediment would pile vertically (cone shaped) inside the product, causing current interruption.  As a result of this the magnesium bar can be changed easily without damage to the system when refueling.

Aqua Power Discusses Historical Revenues & Financings & Expects Continued Growth

(APSI) (the “Company”), operating through its wholly owned subsidiary Aqua Power System Japan Kabushiki Kaisha (“AP Japan”), is pleased to provide this update with respect to the financial condition of AP Japan as of the year ended March 31, 2015. AP Japan launched its first commercial product, a water-activated, carbon-magnesium 1.5 Volt AA battery, in 2009. This first generation battery, marketed under the NoPoPo (short for “No Pollution Power”) brand name, came with a water injection pipette to inject water or other liquid into the chamber to activate the power cell. These batteries were used primarily for powering LED flashlights, mini lanterns, and portable radios.

Starting in March 2011, as a result of a natural disaster, the NoPoPo products gained recognition in Japan as demand grew for mobile power solutions that were cost effective and easily deployable.

AP Japan has sold over eight million of these first generation batteries which has helped to fund further research and development efforts, ultimately leading to 16 patents and/or patents-pending to date.

Revenues in the fiscal year to March 31, 2015, were $193,035 with minimal marketing efforts while AP Japan has focused on the development of their patented technology, including additional products and enhancements to existing products.

During the 12 months ended March 31, 2015, AP Japan received over $1,000,000 of financing.  Since that time, the Company has also secured additional cash infusions, which will be more fully disclosed in the financials for the quarter ending September 30, 2015. – Net loss of $103,859 for the year ended March 31, 2015, compared to a net loss of $99,839 for the eleven months ended March 31, 2014, an increase in net loss of $4,020.
– Net loss from operations of $122,944 for the year ended March 31, 2015, compared to a net loss from operations of $124,576 for the eleven months ended March 31, 2014, a decrease in net loss from operations of $1,632.
– Working capital deficit of $95,367 at March 31, 2015, compared to a working capital deficit of $106,644 at March 31, 2014, an increase in working capital of $11,277.
– Net cash used from operations of $155,304 for the year ended March 31, 2015, compared to net cash used from operations of $11,112 for the year ended March 31, 2014.

Fiscal 2016 Outlook

The Company and its management team continue to move forward with an aggressive business development strategy, despite the difficult economic environment, focusing on asset and cash management while developing our objectives in order to build sustainable growth within the Company and value for its stakeholders.

During fiscal 2015, management was able to decrease overall general and administrative expenses by over 45% and will continue to closely monitor day-to-day operating costs to focus more cash and assets to our long-term business objectives. What makes APSI’s patented RMAF technology unique?

A fuel cell is a device that converts the chemical energy from a fuel into electricity by way of a chemical reaction with oxygen or another oxidizing agent. In the case of APSI, the fuel is magnesium, one of the most abundant elements on earth. Every fuel cell which generates electricity by a chemical reaction (as opposed to combustion) also requires an electrolyte. The RMAF electrolyte (saltwater) carries electrically charged particles from one electrode to the other.

Magnesium-air fuel cell technology, initially discovered in the 1960s, remained a classroom curiosity for years due to the energy consuming formation of hydrogen (reduced power output and volatility) during electrolysis. It is this hydrogen buildup that has prevented the commercialization of the technology until recent breakthroughs. As a result of several of its patent protected innovations and other intellectual property, APSI is one of the first and only companies to have successfully commercialized this form of power generation.

RMAF Hydrogen Prevention

The Realistic Magnesium Air Fuel System (RMAF) system inhibits hydrogen buildup through a series of events occurring concurrently. Hydrogen inhibition starts with the application of an internal flow-back duct that returns the hydrogen to the water inside the cell. In addition, hydrogen buildup is further inhibited through the introduction of a small percentage of calcium to the magnesium bar.

– RMAF Product Design

Another innovation that causes hydrogen inhibition is the design of the product itself. The correct distance between the Anode (magnesium bar) and the Cathode (special film) – this varies from product to product and is arrived at through extensive testing during the product development – this is why each product design has been submitted to the patent office protecting the companies IP. (There is no formula that can generally be applied (physical or chemical) to derive this component).

– Magnesium Waste

The other bit of unique intellectual property is the ability to keep the magnesium sediment (magnesium oxide) flat so it does not impact on the power generated. If this did not occur then the sediment would pile vertically (cone shaped) inside the product, causing current interruption.
